Easy Language

Chemsafe is a database.

Anyone can access it for free.

This database collects characteristics of flammable liquids and gases.

These parameters can be used in explosion protection.

One example of this is the lower explosion limit. This is the quantity above which a gas can explode in the air.

Chemsafe contains many other parameters.

Header

The header is at the top of the page.

In the header, the logo appears first, then the language selection and then the menu.

These three are now explained:

Logo

The Chemsafe logo is in the same place on every page.

Clicking on the logo takes you to the start page. It is called "Home".

Language selection

You can choose whether Chemsafe should be displayed in English or German.

Menu

All Chemsafe pages are listed in the menu.

If you click on the name of a page, the page is displayed.

The menu has 7 pages.

The pages are called:

Home

From this start page you can access all other pages of Chemsafe.

From here you can use the search function to search for substances, parameters or special tables.

There is also a link on the right to another database for dangerous goods.

Search

On this page you select which search you want to start.

This is the most important page of Chemsafe.

• You can search for substances. A hit list is then displayed. There you can select a substance. The result also shows mixtures in which the substance occurs.
• You can also search for specific tables. This is the UTI search. All tables have a specific name. If you know the name, you can enter it in the UTI search.
• You can also search for a parameter. For example, the explosion limit. To do this, select Characteristic search. Then enter a range of numbers.

Help

Unfortunately, the help is only available in English.

Here you can find out exactly what a particular parameter means.

Contact

Here you can find the telephone number and email address of contact persons.

Imprint

Here you can find out who is responsible for the Chemsafe pages.

There is also a disclaimer. This states that although the data has been carefully compiled, errors must always be expected.

Data protection

Here you can read which data is used by the user and what happens to it.

This declaration applies to the Chemsafe website. It is dated 20/03/2024.
